- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over high heat.
- Add garlic and onion, stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add red bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
- Push ingredients to the side and pour in the beaten eggs, scrambling them.
- Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar; stir-fry to combine.
- Mix in the Thai basil leaves and cook until wilted.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh holy basil if available. Adjust spiciness with chili peppers.
