Description

A fresh twist on the classic Caprese salad featuring grilled avocados, ripe tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 4 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush the cut sides of the avocados with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the avocados cut-side down on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes until grill marks appear.
  4. Remove avocados and let them cool slightly.
  5. On a platter, arrange sliced tomatoes, grilled avocados, and mozzarella slices.
  6. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, use ripe avocados and fresh ingredients. This salad pairs well with grilled proteins.
