Description
Fluffy, herb-infused dinner rolls brushed with garlic herb butter. Perfect for holiday meals or any gathering.

- For the Rolls:
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup (57g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 – 4 cups (420-480g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped thyme
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary
- For the Herb Butter:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warmed milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, egg, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until combined.
- Stir in herbs and gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare herb butter by mixing all ingredients together.
- Brush warm rolls with herb butter immediately after baking.
- Serve warm.
Notes
These rolls freeze well. Thaw and reheat in the oven before serving. Fresh herbs can be substituted with dried if needed, using half the amount.
