- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken and let it rest, then slice into strips.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano until the sauce thickens.
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions and drain.
- Toss the pasta with the sauce and add the chicken strips.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. Ensure herbs are fresh for the best flavor.
