Description

Tender carrots glazed with honey for a sweet and flavorful side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Place carrots in a saucepan and cover with water.
  2. Add salt and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until carrots are tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Drain water, then add butter, honey, and pepper.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until glazed, about 5 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
