- 1 ½ cupsall-purpose flour
- ½ cupunsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cupgranulated sugar
- 1large egg
- 1 tspvanilla extract
- 1 tspbaking powder
- ¼ tspsalt
- 1 tspground cinnamon
- 4 ozcream cheese, softened
- ¼ cuppowdered sugar
- 1 tbspmilk
- 1 tspground cinnamon (for dusting)
- ½ cupgranulated sugar (for dusting)
- 2 tbspmelted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your ovento 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl,cream together the softened butter and granulated sugaruntil light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extractuntil well combined.
- In another bowl,whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredientsto the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a separate bowl,mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milkuntil smooth and creamy.
- Scoop out tablespoon-sized balls of cookie doughand flatten them slightly on the baking sheet.
- Place a small dollop of the cream cheese mixturein the center of each flattened dough ball.
- Top each with another flattened dough ball, sealing the edges to encase the cream cheese filling.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- While the cookies are baking,mix the ground cinnamon and granulated sugarin a shallow dish.
- Once the cookies are out of the oven and slightly cooled,brush them with melted butterand roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
