Description
A refreshing Lebanese salad made with fresh vegetables, herbs, and toasted pita bread, dressed with a tangy lemon vinaigrette.
Ingredients

- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 2 pita breads, toasted and broken into pieces
- For the dressing: 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon sumac
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, parsley, and mint.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, sumac, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
- Add the toasted pita pieces and toss again.
- Serve immediately for the best texture.
Notes
For the freshest taste, use seasonal vegetables and add pomegranate seeds for extra flavor.
