This maple bourbon glazed turkey is the perfect centerpiece for your holiday feast, offering a sweet and savory flavor profile that’s sure to impress your guests.

- 1 (14-16 lb) whole turkey, thawed if frozen
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove giblets and neck from turkey cavity; rinse and pat dry.
- In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, bourbon, mustard, butter, and vinegar. Bring to a simmer and cook until reduced by half, about 10 minutes.
- Season turkey inside and out with salt and pepper.
- Brush turkey with half the glaze and place in a roasting pan.
- Roast for 3-4 hours, basting with remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
- Turkey is done when internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.
- Let rest for 20 minutes before carving. Serve with pan juices.
Notes
Make sure to use a meat thermometer for the best results. The glaze can be made ahead and refrigerated until needed.
