Description

A hearty layered bake featuring corned beef, sauerkraut, and melted Swiss cheese, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound corned beef, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 6 slices rye bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the cubed rye bread at the bottom.
  3. Spread the sauerkraut evenly over the bread layer.
  4. Layer the corned beef slices on top of the sauerkraut.
  5. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the corned beef.
  6. Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over the top.
  7. Drizzle melted butter over the cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Serve with extra dressing on the side.
