Description

A festive Santa Claus-shaped cake perfect for holiday gatherings, decorated with icing and candy to resemble the jolly fellow.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (18-1/4 ounces) white cake mix
  • 1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting
  • Red food coloring
  • Black licorice ropes
  • Candy corn
  • Miniature marshmallows
  • Red decorator sprinkles
  • Green M&M's
  • Chocolate chips
  • Pretzels

Instructions

  1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Bake in a bundt pan or Santa Claus-shaped mold at 350°F for 35-40 minutes.
  2. Let the cake cool completely.
  3. Tint half the frosting red for Santa's suit.
  4. Using the red frosting, cover the top and sides of the cake.
  5. Use white frosting for the face and beard.
  6. Decorate with candy corn for the nose, chocolate chips for eyes, licorice for the belt, and pretzels for the boots.
  7. Sprinkle with red and green decorations.

Notes

For best results, assemble decorations just before serving to keep them fresh. This cake is fun for kids to help decorate!
