Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine beef, beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to make a slurry.
  4. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker and add broccoli.
  5. Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes or until sauce thickens and broccoli is tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over rice.

Notes

For a healthier version, use low-sodium soy sauce and serve with brown rice. Adjust cooking time based on your slow cooker model.
