  • Yield: 6-8 1x

Description

A hearty and spicy queso dip made with ground beef, cheese, and bold flavors, perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and jalapeno to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, garlic powder, and cumin. Mix well.
  4. Add the cubed Velveeta cheese and stir continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

For extra spice, add more jalapenos or a dash of hot sauce. This dip is best enjoyed fresh.
