Description
A tangy, sweet, and spicy sauce made with fresh cranberries and jalapeños, perfect as a condiment for holidays or game day.
Ingredients

- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped (adjust for spice level)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, water, and grated ginger over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the cranberries have burst.
- Stir in the chopped jalapeño and lime juice. Continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Adjust the amount of jalapeño for desired spice level. For a thicker sauce, cook a bit longer. Always taste and adjust sweetness or heat before serving.
