Ingredients

- 4 large bell peppers, tops removed and seeds scooped out
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cooked rice, half of the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the mixture into the bell peppers.
- Place peppers in a baking dish, pour remaining tomato sauce over them.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and peppers are tender.
Notes
Experiment with adding spices for extra flavor. Ensure peppers are cooked until tender but not mushy.
