Description
A flavorful Turkish kebab served over rice, including ground turkey or beef mixed with spices and herbs, grilled to perfection and paired with fluffy white rice.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground turkey or beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground meat, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into kebab shapes or patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the kebabs until browned and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, rinse the rice and cook it in 2 cups of water with a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 15-18 minutes until fluffy.
- Serve the kebabs over the rice, garnished with parsley.
Notes
Adjust spices to taste. Kebabs can also be grilled for a smokier flavor.
