A massive, gooey chocolate chip cookie that’s perfect for sharing or indulging all by yourself.

For the Crust:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
- Scoop entire dough onto prepared baking sheet and shape into one giant cookie (about 10-inch diameter).
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until edges are golden but center is still soft. Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before serving.
