For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil, then knead into a dough.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  3. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  4. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, sprinkle with oregano, then add cheese and toppings.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
