Description

These viral pecan pie bars are the ultimate indulgence with a buttery shortbread crust and gooey pecan pie filling. Perfect for holidays or any occasion!


Ingredients

  • For the Crust:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Filling:
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Set aside to cool slightly.
  7. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until smooth.
  8. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  9. Pour the filling over the crust.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set.
  11. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. These bars taste even better the next day!
