Description

Festive chocolate chip cookies with a winter twist, perfect for holiday baking with peppermint and festive sprinkles.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1/4 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until well combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips, crushed peppermint candies, and sprinkles.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
