Description

Festive chocolate chip cookies infused with holiday spices for a winter treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until fully combined.
  6. Mix in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
  7. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. For a festive touch, add holiday sprinkles before baking.
