For the Crust:

  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  3. Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mash until smooth.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and combined.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy.
