Description

This easy one-pan cornbread stuffing skillet is a comforting side dish made with cornbread, sausage, and veggies, all cooked together for a rustic meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 4 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and celery to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the crumbled cornbread, chicken broth, cranberries, sage, and thyme. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use day-old cornbread. Adjust seasoning to taste.
